Media Accreditations

The Media Accreditation process is now closed. Accreditations can be picked up at the "Accreditation Office" from March 7th to March 10th. This office is located inside the Hotel Novotel (Paris Meeting Room) calle Amsterdam 3, adjacent to the Palacio Municipal de Congresos (Campo de las Naciones).

Media Accreditation Office Hours

The Media Accreditation Room will be open:
  • Monday, 7 March 08:00 - 20:00 hours
  • Tuesday, 8 March 08:00 - 20:00 hours
  • Wednesday, 9 March 08:00 - 20:00 hours
  • Thursday, 10 March 08:00 - 20:00 hours

Collecting your Accreditations

Accreditations can be obtained only at the Hotel Novotel by presenting official identification. A person can obtain accreditations for various people from their respective organisations by bringing the following:
  • A list of those accredited on official stationary of your organisation (names/passport or DNI numbers)
  • An official press card

Security Check

Security personnel at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos will examine and may test equipment carried into the building. To avoid delays, the media is advised to arrive with time to clear security checks.

Television and radio, that have extensive or bulky equipment, are strongly advised to move as much as possible into the Media area before covering an event, to shorten check-in times.

Note to editors: all crews covering event must be accredited.
The Summit organizers, as well as security personnel, reserve the right to withdraw media accreditation at any time.

All bookings for television and radio studios should be addressed as soon as possible to Ms. Aldao. Please contact her if you need to rent television equipment or a camera crew. Also, all outside broadcasting vans for uplink satellite transmissions must be arranged before Saturday, 26 February 2005.

Note: Please take into account that all non EU TV crews will need an ATA notebook for their equipment. This can be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce in your city.

Press Briefings

The schedule of press briefings during the Summit will be available on 7 March at the Media Accreditation Office and as of 8 March inside the Palacio Municipal de Congresos at the Media Office.

Media Office

The Media Office will be located inside the Palacio Municipal de Congresos (Campo de las Naciones) and a limited number of workstations are available for journalists. The building is Wi-Fi (Wireless Internet) equipped and all wireless devices work well within its environs.
