Center for International Policy
It's mission is to promote a U.S. foreign policy based on international cooperation, demilitarization and respect for basic human rights. Founded in 1975.

Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS)
For four decades has been dedicated to providing world leaders with strategic insights on (and policy solutions to) current and emerging global issues. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., CSIS is private, nonpartisan, and tax-exempt.

Centre for Security Policy
Since its founding in 1988, has operated as a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to the time-tested philosophy of promoting international peace through American strength. It accomplishes this goal by stimulating and informing national and international policy debates, in particular, those involving regional, defense, economic, financial and technology developments that bear upon the security of the United States.

Comparative Democratization Project

Henry L. Stimson Center
A nonprofit, nonpartisan institution devoted to enhancing international peace and security through a unique combination of rigorous analysis and outreach.

Hoover Institution
The Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace, Stanford University, is a public policy research center devoted to advanced study of politics, economics, and political economy (both domestic and foreign) as well as international affairs.

International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA)
Created in 1995, it's an inter-governmental organization with member states from all continents, and has a mandate to support sustainable democracy worldwide. IDEA's objective is to help improve the design of key democratic institutions and processes through improved knowledge and understanding of issues that condition democratic progress.

International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism
The International Policy Institute seeks international cooperation in the global struggle against terrorism, paving the way for multilateral action against terrorist networks, benefactors, and states sponsoring terrorism.

National Endowment for Democracy
Private, nonprofit organization created in 1983 to strengthen democratic institutions around the world through nongovernmental efforts.

Netherlands Institute for International Relations
Known as 'Clingendael', is objective is to promote the understanding of international affairs. Special attention is devoted to European integration, transatlantic relations, international security, conflict studies, policy making on national and international energy markets, negotiations and diplomacy, and to the United Nations and other international organisations.

Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF)
PRIF's work is directed towards identifying the causes of violent international and internal conflicts, carrying out research into the conditions necessary for peace, understood as a process of decreasing violence and increasing justice, and spreading the concepts of peace.

Statewatch is a non-profit-making voluntary group founded in 1991. It is comprised of lawyers, academics, journalists, researchers and community activists. Its European network of contributors is drawn from 13 countries. Statewatch encourages the publication of investigative journalism and critical research in Europe the fields of the state, justice and home affairs, civil liberties, accountability and openness.

Tampere Peace Research Institute
