Prior to becoming Chairman, President & CEO of the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation, was Counsel to Pillsbury Winthrop LLP advising on international business and trade policy matters. Concurrently served as Senior Advisor to Armitage Associates, L.C. Served as Chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission for five years and at the White House as Director of Asian Affairs at the National Security Council.
