Suárez Del Toro Rivero, Juan Manuel

President, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

Has served with the Red Cross since 1979. Formerly president of the Spanish Red Cross (1994-2001). Professor at the University of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria and director of a public transport company. Holder of the Spanish Red Cross Gold Medal and the Grand Cross of the Ministry of Defence for his contribution to humanitarian operations.
