Halperin, Morton

Senior Vice President, Center for American Progress and Director of its Fellows Program

In addition to positions at the Center for American Progress, is Director of the Open Society Policy Center. Served in the federal government in the Clinton, Nixon and Johnson administrations, most recently as Director of the Policy Planning Staff at the Department of State (1998-2001). In the Clinton administration, was also Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Democracy at the National Security Council.
