Cemal, Hasan

Senior Columnist, Milliyet National Daily

Active in journalism for the last 36 years. Worked for twelve years as Editor-in-Chief of Cumhuriyet, Turkey’s oldest, independent, national daily. Was a member of the executive board of International Press Institute (IPI) for 13 years. Author of six books, two of which were written on the military regime in Turkey. Most recent book is Kurds, PKK and the State.
