Anstee, Margaret

Former Under-Secretary General, UN

Served the United Nations for over four decades (1952-93), rising to the rank of under-secretary general in 1987. Worked on international programmes of economic and social development. Since leaving the UN, advised the secretary general and the UN Department of Political Affairs, on an ad honorem basis, on operational aspects of post-conflict peace-building.
